Red Rose

Over the last two weeks,I have been given this beautiful Roses from a beautiful Lady.It was an honored to receive an award from Dora.I haven't been very active on the blog lately. After the Thanksgiving day,I had bodily pain.I sprained my neck and all over my back on right in my sleep. This took me more than 10 days to get back into normal.I can't even do house chores.Pheww! What a pain.

Last Friday was Halloween day.And we spent the day at home because we don't have any plan to go.The kids was having fun at school.Ashley won two Halloween prizes in her class and Belinda got so excited when her teacher gave her a Halloween party pack.

There are many I would nominate because they are truly outstanding blogger out there but I needed to send this down to my lovely bloggers. But these are ones that made the final cut to the seven, those whose words stay with me for days after reading their blogs.

The rules of the award are:

1. The winner can put the logo on her blog.
2. Link the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs of the girls you’ve nominated.

Halloween is coming

My kids were very excited for Halloween this year. They can't wait to wear their cool costume to school.Although we don't have any party or celebrate this festive, but we still get excited at about this time. All the store are selling pumpkins and spooky costumes.Yes, Halloween is coming and I usually start posts Halloween the last minute.

After reading the local newspaper, discussion about Halloween safety and I was thinking back then how great those days were, it also got me thinking how things have changed and how sick and sadistic some folks have become these days. I remembered the year that I came here and the very first impression of Halloween had all changed for me.After the best night of "trick or treating" I'd ever had came a TV news flash.I never thought Halloween day could turn out a nightmare to a kid. Some adults was putting Razor blades and needle in chocolates.Halloween was just so scary to me.

It seemed that every year or two after that you'd hear about someone doing something similar. To this day the thought of someone forever spoiling one of the best kids holiday ever, to me is a sick person who are not educated at all."REMEMBER" to warn your "trick or treaters" not to eat their treats until they get home and you've checked them. That's why till today I never allow my kids to go trick or treating. It's a shame that it has come to this but we must do what we must to make sure that they indeed have a "HAPPY" Halloween.

My first Thanksgiving dinner at home

Thanksgiving day is a big holiday for Canadians.Their traditional food on Thanksgiving Day is of course turkey, cranberry dressing and pumpkin pie.

Ashley, wants to eat turkey and celebrate Thanksgiving at home this year. You know kids always thought that it would be fun to have turkey for dinner.Actually,I don't think it's a good idea to have turkey for only few people but at last we decided to buy one anyway.

Last year I had my Thanksgiving dinner in mom in law house. It was only a simple Chinese dinner. However, this year I invite my mom in law and two sis in law to be guests at our table. As I said,I like baking and experimenting with new recipes, but not in cooking. So today was rocked!I got up at 9:00 so that I could cleaned house and bummed around for a while. It was a challenging day to me.If I was going to make this Thanksgiving dinner for someone I'd have to do some planning and it takes a long day to complete the mission.

Lets talk about Thanksgiving dinner photo!
The over baked Turkey :(
I use the Italian sausage, red pepper, parsley, bread cubes and carrot for the stuffing. The turkey was good I guess. It was not very dry and salty.

Actually,I didn't prepare a lot of different kinds of foods.I'm thinking of just making a small turkey, coleslaw, gravy, sweet potato bun, stuffing, yellow rice with raisin and apple pie.

I have never made any of these things in my life so I'm nervous as all heck over here.I only have one oven and the turkey took 3 hours to cook so I can't bake the bun and apple pie on time.It screwed up my plan.oh ya!you know what I forgot to take out the coleslaw from the fridge for dinner.I only remember this after the meal LOL!!!Hubby bought some sushi for the kids in case they don't like the food.It was just a simple dinner. The atmosphere was good and I am happy that the kids were happy to enjoy the turkey.
After the meal,we ate the Apple pie as the dessert.
This sweet potato bun is awesome. These buns are supposed to serve with the meal but too bad they only can try it after the meal.
There is definitely something to be said for getting together a bunch of people for a homemade meal regardless of whatever any of you can cook. The dinner was great though.Over all, this was a happy meal.

Fall is coming

Well, I've finally made it back to my blog.I was too lazy to even update my blog everyday.I play online games whole day and I kinda let the blog go stagnant for more than a week now.Life being so bored lately.Maybe it's because of the weather-cold and wet everyday.

Actually I was quite busy shopping around since last week.Trying to buy cheap and cool Halloween costumes for the girls.Buying a costume for them ain't fun at all. It’s make me wonder whether it’s okay for them to wear some of the outfits.I remember for the first time, they love to have a cute little fairy or princess costumes but too bad so sad!not for this year! And to top it off, my 9 yr old daughter wants a witch with a broom and a hat-you know, the costume has a black cloak that everyone wears.I prefer them wearing a costume depicting an actor’s character not a ghost or witch. It's not really that big of a deal, but I'm too concern about their over imagination.

There is one thing that I don't really like about Halloween is that I have to waste money on costumes that only last a day.I hope I can sew and save.It should be awesome.By the way,it's pouring outside and the little one wants me to play Wii sports with her.She is pretty good in tennis which I always lose to her.Plus there's not much reason that I should not go to play with her right now,so that's what I am going to do.

A half day tour

It's a dreary day.The kind that makes you want to stay inside and sleep all day.It took a lot of effort to get out of bed this morning. But it was the time that I need to get my daughter ready for ballet class. After the one hour waiting at the ballet school,we decided to bring the kids for a half day tour to Downtown. So here we are!The Gastown!!!
Although it's raining we still continue walk around.Gastown is one of the tourist traps where you can find the world's first steam clock which was built in 1977.According to the history, they called Gastown after "Gassy" Jack Deighton is the first man to open a salloon for the sawmill workers that worked here.

It's a nice little attraction but I would recommend Gastown more for its cobblestone streets and gift shops. The Gastown's shops close down around 6pm and the neighbourhood feels vacant immediately so we didn't manage to get into the gift shop.If you only have one day in Vancouver,Gastown is worth an hour. But in my opinion there are better places to explore downtown if you have such little time. There are much more vibrant downtown neighbourhoods such as English Bay, Denman Street, Robson Street, and Yaletown, for evening strolls. However,I have always felt that one of the best ways to learn about the culture of an area is to visit the local Downtown with the kids on the weekend.

Am I living in a foreign country

This morning I sent my kids to school a bit early. So while I was waiting and queuing outside the classroom,I noticed that 99% of my little one classmates are Chinese.Suddenly I left my mind thinking and mingled together in confusion-am I in China or Canada?Apparently, most of the parents I know came from China.I felt a little left out because I was the only Malaysian who don't speak perfect Mandarin.Sometimes I really don't know what to say and wonder if they can understand my accent.

I believe in ten or twenty years ago in Canada English is the official language and French as its second language. Most foreign students have to speak English because there were very few Chinese students at the time. Both my sister in law were of a few dozen Chinese girls in the school. As what they told me,their classroom has only 1% chinese students. They feel isolated when they first came to Canada.Well, isolation is a state of mind at that time but not now where it is so not the case because the second language widely spoken in Canada is Mandarin. With the increasing number of Chinese immigrants arrive in Canada, students of Chinese descent especially in my kids area, are no longer feeling that isolation.

Despite we don't feel isolated in this country but it's just that I felt kind of weird. My little one doesn't know how to speak Mandarin and she told me her friends at school speak Mandarin where it is hard for her to join their team. This is what I am concern about.Perhaps I should teach her to speak perfect Mandarin rather than English?.I am not writing about discriminating against others or just because they are different.I am just trying to tell the truth. If one day you got a chance to live in canada you will notice that. However,or what ever it is,if we want to succeed in a society,I guess,no matter where we are we have to know how to fit in to make friends and be happy with my environment right?I hope she can cope with her classmates soon.

A terrible exposure at home

A lot of kids nowsaday learn musical instrument these days though most of them learned to play the recorder in elementary school. The first instrument I had was a recorder.I still remember how to use a recorder!I can’t say I really remember how to play anymore.Hehe!but if I manage to get a quick overview of the notes again I’m sure I’d be able to pick it up quickly.

When I learned the recorder it was a compulsory music lesson in primary school. As far as I can remember,we were given it right from the very beginning and I don't think anyone struggled to get the hang of it quickly so most of the time we will get a special reward-up!that's mean a whipped on our hand. It's a very strict lesson at school.

I think playing a recorder is just something fun to do when you’re little but sadly I found it kind of pressure and started to hate it when the music teacher abuse us and expect us to be perfect.

The recorder is something that’s definitely interesting to learn and can also sound surprisingly good depending on how it is used.Yes!this is also an entertainment that need a ear plugs at home.Where now both my kids started to play with it after school that send me nuts everyday.

My Little Balllerina

I've always loved ballet when I was young and doing it as my dream. My mom did brought me to meet the teacher and register the class for me.But I don't why the teacher doesn't want to accept me as her student.I remember vividly that she told my mom that I body is not ideal for ballet.I was very upset at that time.I think I don't look as pretty as the other girls.Be honest,I am an ugly duckling when I was little.Anyhow, that's a history and I know my dream will never comes true but I do hope my kids can help me to make it come true.Hopefully!!

My little girl love ballet and always pretend to be a ballerina at home.I never expect that one day she could be in the ballet class. This was just the first day real dance studio in Goh Ballet Academy where this is world class ballet academy in Vancouver. We have to drive her there every Saturday morning and it takes about half and hour drive. It's a hassle to send her there because of the rush hour in the morning but it's worth it.Before her dance class start,I went to their store and was expecting to buy her pink leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. But instead they told me that the blue leotard is the one they have in stock.I always thought all ballet academy schools should wear the same thing but I was wrong.I mean,I thought the main thing for ballet class was pink leotard.I'm so confused. My little girl was very excited to wear it on even though it wasn't her favourite colour. Some girls were crying and insisted their mom to be in the studio with them and one little girl don't even want to wear the outfit and keep on crying and beg their parents to bring her home.I am very proud of her and am glad that she likes to go there again.I wouldn't expect much more from her.As long as she did her best and if one day she refuse to learn ballet I am ready to accept that.

What a waste

The weather will be getting cooler and can't stand the cold now.So that's mean I have to make a little in my wardrobe.A week ago,I was browsing TheShoppingchannel.com to search for clearance stuff you know that's something I have to look forward to.I found a Faux fur coat on sale for Cad20 bucks(original is cad179).I was very excited so I added it in my shopping cart. Before I check out and make my payment,I was like trying to look for other stuff so that I can save up my shipping cost. When I want to checkout, the screen turn the item into this words(Sold Out).

Argggggggg!that's really make me frustrated and sad at the same time. You know, this wasn't the first time happened to me.The fur coat is the last one and with the size XS.Not only the coat are very cheap but it's looks comfortable. I love this coat!!!Anyway, what can I do huh!Just let it be.And the lesson is you snooze you lose!

Remember first day of school

Summer's is over so my daughters started back to school on the 2ND of Sept 2008.I was very busy before the school open.I was busy searching for their school supplies-buy new shoes and clothing for them. This year Ashley will be in Grade 4 and Belinda will be in Kindergarten.I am happy that both the kids go to school this year because I can have my me time at home.LOL!!!

First day of school is always a big deal to some kids.I believe many kids get nervous or scare about heading back to school like me.Both my kids were very excited to go to school because their teachers never give them pressure on studies. The school in canada provide a happy, safe, supportive and challenging learning environment.I don't really like to go back to school when I was young. When I was in primary school,I always asked myself these questions. Will the teacher be nice this year?Where's my seat? Will the other teachers like me?Will the friends like me?All kinds of silly questions! You know in the old days most the teachers are very fierce and strict to their students.I am sure anyone who is in my age should know what I am trying to say here.

In my day the Government supplied all Primary schools with pencils, notebooks(where we called exercise books),uniform, white shoes and free milks. My Mom never bought any supplies for me since we moved to Sabah. My parent were very blessed because free supplies for students will never happen in the state where I was born. However,I am glad that I am didn't cry but of course very nervous.I think it`s normal that children cry for mother when they are alone.Do You Remember Your Very First Day At School?

Pass the security exam

Yeepy!I am very proud of my husband. He pass both the BST 1&2.We've been waiting for the results for a month now and till today he got the results.Actually my husband found a job at the airport as a security since he was laid off few months ago.In order to get the job and worked as a security guard in Canada,he need to complete BST 1 & 2 and to pass a written test. The training is using a curriculum developed by the Police Academy at the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
He was undergo a minimum of 10 days of classroom and practical training under the training courses and be examined by Justice Institute examiners at the conclusion of the training. It was a hard and stressful time for him to pass the exam.I've never seen him study so hard before. Now he can work in any field as a security firm, individual security professionals and the general public.

A disappointed day

It's pretty hard to get a Wii Fit ever since it was released.Wii Fit is a pressure-sensitive Balance Board mainly for sports and yoga.Since few months ago,I've been looking for the Wii fit for the kids but could never find one.

Last Saturday,I went to Futureshop just for browsing the sales and try to get a Wii fit.I didn't know the Nintendo announced Wii Fit would land on store shelves again. It cost Cad 99.99 only for the balance board. When I tried to approached the shelf and tried to looked for Wii fit, before I can grab it I found my pace was too slow.A lady grabbed it faster than me.Then I quickly asked the customer service to get a new one for me,well you know what-was the last one.I already tried to get it from other stores but still no luck. :(

Last night,I asked my sister to help me to get Wii fit in for me.What a surprise, she doesn't know what is Nintendo Wii.Even my cousin who live in a same town with her also don't know what the heck it is.I will definitely get Wii Fit one day because it looks like a good way to exercise.Does anyone knows is there Wii fit available in Sabah?

Crazy for shoes

When I was in back home.I've never tried wearing flip flop stepping out of house. It seems wearing a flip flop is not a sense of fashion to me but most of the people in North America I know have a few pairs. They love to wear it in all kind of occasion.I understand they're cheap and comfortable won't hurt your toes, but do get dirty quickly. Now I am one of them.I wear it almost everyday-from supermarket to a BBQ party. No one complaint!

Today is not one of my favorite days, but I have to get it over with.I love Old Navy in general, because the prices at Old Navy are always just right and you can get really nice, chic items that don’t look cheap.I just bought their sandals and wedges. It's only cost Cad 0.27cents for a pair sandals and Cad 1.97 for wedges. And at old Navy, you can always get a pairs of heel for 1.99 bucks on sales.Although I am partial got a chance to wear wedges or heels, but these two wedges are resistable to buy.It was only like 22.50 originally but I couldn't believe it!

That's really not a bad deal, although I already bought few pairs of shoes,on the very next day in I nearly bought few pair from Superstore.Luckily my hubby stopped me from buying it.He brought me away from the shelves.Gee!If a woman doesn't like buying shoes she is not a woman,If a woman loves buying shoes she is shoe crazy. This is why I never have any money in my savings.

Capilano suspension bridge

We took a stroll in this park. This nature and beautiful gardens is British Columbia First Nations artisans chisel legend into cedar.Capilano Suspension Bridge takes you to the serenity. You can also enjoy the scene while walking across the longest suspension bridge in BC.While new visitors to Vancouver usually enjoy Capilano,as a half Sabahan,I feel a bit disappointed because in my view I found it looks the same suspension bridge that connects from tree to tree at the hot spring and Tamparuli in Sabah.
Capilano Suspension Bridge is one of Vancouver, British Columbia's most popular tourist. If you you got a chance to visit Canada, you can try to experience differences between Borneo and Canada Suspension Bridge, where each of them has their own unique mix of adventure, history and culture. It is an essential on your list of things to do in Vancouver, BC. The bridge offers fantastic tree top views of the valley below (230 feet) and the pathway on the other side meanders down the valley to the Capilano river. But don't forget Suspension Bridge in Canada is a tourist trap. There’s another similar bridge not far away in this park, called the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge. It is free. While Capilano may be fun, it's purely a tourist destination, that they overcharge you.Access to this park cost a little bit too expensive to me.So this was our first and last to Capilano suspension bridge.

Hooked on games

Oh no!I don't even realize not updating my blog for so long.I only saw this today and omg I can't believe my blogger friends left me a message.Thank you guys for visiting my blog.
Over the summer,I was seriously hooked on HI/LO and Gold Rush that game on Moola.I know a lot of people play games with computer. They spend most of their time and money on computer games. But to me I am searching for games that pay for real money. There is a website Playandwin.co.uk designed for us poor people who spend half our day and night time on the computer to earn money.

I really hooked on games lately.I play the role playing games though.I know it sounds crazy. My husband used to make fun of me for playing there. He used to say " I can't believe you play those games online".I woke up one day,and guess who was sitting here playing on the computer playing jackpot in playandwin.Yup,you guessed it!My husband! This game is addicting but I assure you I will not disappear.

It's pretty hard to win the money from Moola but what I can tell you now is that I am almost at $10 for payout.I am not only try to win money on games but I am addicted to ebay too.I spend all my money in paypal account on stuffs.Oh heavens yes!Ebay is similar to gambling in that you are taking a risk and trying to win.I guess at least with Ebay,if you lose you get your money back, right lol.Why are these things so addicting?

I think I am a loser.I am mean I still take care of my kids, but spend every free second I get on the computer? My mind is always active.I just keep going and going.Really, before I was addicted on blogging.I thought I have to stop facing infront of my computer but I am not.

Maybe this computer and the internet are my escapes. The escape from the daily problems.Besides this is one of my way to relax and unwind after a long day.I think I really need to stop buying from ebay. Now what I am trying to do is update my blog daily and write some reviews to earn my money back.

Old fashioned way of writing a letter

As I sat down to write this blog, however, it occurred to me I should "lighten up" a bit.I have something else in mind.I found a pile of old love letters in my closet which I kept for a long time.Nowsaday people (me included) also seldom send letters.I remembered I used to write letters to my best friends and penpal then when I was studying. In the old days, before the net, I would write a lot of letters.
Only letters I hand-write these days (as opposed to foot-write which I still do; it's impossible for the police to figure out my personality that way) are the ones accompanying some odd thing I've found in corn flakes, or that last one, the pebble in the ritter sport bar. This letter is usually prepared for first with a barrage of emails; it worked at Vimy Ridge, and works too, I can attest, with large corporate entities.
Today,my handwritten is terrible even doctors can't read it.Whenever I got a chance to write a letter to someone I still prefer using text typed which I thought is much nicer. It even allows me something I've never been able to do in writing like edit or delete.Email is so easy and brings us in touch with people quickly but I remember how fun it was to find I'd received a letter from someone.I have pen pals in different countries, and its nice to receive a letter hand written in old days. It's been so long since I wrote a letter or even mailed anything that I honestly have no clue how much a stamp even costs.I really value handwritten notes and use every time I need to thank someone
Since so few people write letters nowadays, it's so much more meaningful when you actually take the time to write real letters or send birthday cards, instead of simply sending an e-card.Most girls really like to get actual letters in the mail, in my experience. But in this day and age it is considered old-fashioned and silly. But I think that love letters are fabulous. No matter how eccentric,it is a piece of you.It is a personal way to express ones emotions and feelings to another person they care about.
My kids love to write letters or cards and every time I make them write birthday card for their cousins,Aunts and grandma.I really hope the kids nowsaday knows how to write a letter and appreciate the value of someone handwritten notes.Does anyone out there still write letters the "old-fashioned" way?

Summer is almost over now

Rain rain go away!Raining is coming to our town again. It's been two three months now I didn't touch up my blog and post a thing.I can't believe there are few bloggers still sending messages in my other blog.I do miss them as much as they miss me but I don't think I have the time to read all the blogs right now.Anyway,I hope they don't mind.

Hey,I didn't even realize we were that far into August.Scary ain't it?I guess it won't be cold for a while, but there isn't much of summer left. This summer gets so hot and humid.Sometimes I can't even stand the heat.As much as I hate to say it,I hate winter the most, snow and wearing heavy coats. Its so annoying.I wish I lived in a place that you could wear flip flops all year round, that would be the best!Don't you think so?

Anyone has a memorable summer?I had not a memorable summer, but an enjoyable one.I spent most of my days relaxing under the summer sun, wearing my favourite tank tops.I regret doing nothing much this summer. This summer sucked.I didn't do a thing but the kids had so much fun with their Dad this summer. This is their first summer that can be around with their Dad.The girls love swimming. This the only place we go during this summer.Nothing much!My kids just can't wait to go back to school, especially Belinda. She can't wait to go to kindergarten this year.

There won't be any more summer weather during the rest of this summer.A low pressure system will bring rain again.I can only hope that it doesn't rain all the time again!!!Well,It's time to bring in the patio set from the patio. The lasting heat of summer has gone.I hope with a little luck there will some good days coming this September and October.

The challenging life of our world today

Here we all come again to a challenging time of the year. All of a sudden the spring brings incredibly busy tragedy our world.Lets faced it..when I saw the tradegy disaster news,I felt very sad and it's reminds me of the tsunami that happened two years ago.I can feel how the victims feel because I was in a resort during the tsunami. It was a shcocking experinece to me and the kids.Today,I still can't forget the shocking moment.Last December it was a cyclone in Bangladesh and now a cyclone in Myanmar and an earthquake on China in occurence. Some people said God create those disasters around the world.

Do you think so?I don't think so because what I know natural disasters have been happening for many years. However,I do believe that natural disasters are increasing in frequency and intensity as a result of climate change not create by God.I believe everyone has to go through trials and tribulation.God did not promise that life would be easy but he did promise to be with us on every step of the way.Eventually every part of the world will have some sort of natural disaster. It will probably get worse in years to come and the natural disasters are all weather related.I blame it on global warming. We need to stop global warming.Change the way we treat the world and the nature. If we want to love our family and friends why not love the world first.

Here I found a video which is very touching and it's hard to find anyone who can put things in perspective more than Carl Sagan statement.

Pale Blue Dot

Sagan related his thoughts on the deeper meaning of the photograph(Pale Blue Dot)

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us.On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader",every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena.Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance,the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light.

Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark.In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes.Settle, not yet.

Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand. It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me,it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.

I am back updating

Yup,I think it's about time for update eh?I have been busy making Fried Ghost (aka Yau Char kwai aka chinese crullers)lately and pretty tired the whole week.Till the kids don't wanna try my crullers anymore.Even hubby teased at me.Everytime he saw me making the the crullers he will said not again?LOL!!!Till today I still didn't manage to make the perfect crullers.Kinda of fed up already. How ah???Anyway,I think I got to take a week rest and try making it again.

Well, hubby work for a company that has been sold and his entire group is about to be laid off on this weekend. That's mean he is going to be jobless. He have worked for the company for 4 years already and I am so sad that he have to start all over again.Right now is a tough time to find a job.I don't know how financially stable we are after and if we have to move back to our hometown or not. While I can say that I am a little worried now.I really don't know how long we could survive in this country. The living expenses is too high here.Getting laid off is hard on a family.I know it willl be a stressful time for him and I feel helpless.I guess what I have to do now is help and focus on the hunt for him.

What have you done for the past

How have you changed in the past ten years?and What have you done for the past?Ten years ago I was in college, partying a lot and doing some crazy things.I gotta say those were some fun years. Now I don't have anymore those fun.Life changed a lot now.I'm married and have a two kids.I'm a stay at home mom and have settled way down in the past ten years.I feel so content now in a lot of ways. It's just funny how much I changed.

Just now,I was chatting with a friend who we knew each other for more then twenty years.I can't believe we have been friend for so long.We were chatting about How Fast Does Time pass and what did we have done for the past ten years.Ya,he reminds me that I should learn and do something meaningful everyday and not to waste the time for doing nothing.

Well,I don't even know if I have learned and done anything that is meaningful for the past.I kept thinking did I make my life and world around me better?I for a very long time always felt emotionally doomed and look sadness, helpless, hopeless and no resolution to anything.Am I just too busy? Why can I considered how precious and fleeting each moment is?I shouldn't have these excuses.Do you believe the end of the world?Despite anything's possible,I surely doubt that it will happen anytime soon.Anyhow,I hope before the end of the world I can learn something that it is something they can be proud of.

Our house almost break-in

Since I moved here over one year ago, there was several occasion our apartment locker were broken in and other cars were broken into too.Anyway, our apartment was break in last night. It was around 2:30am,hubby came home woke me up and told me that someone was trying to broke into our hallway. He said when he parked the car,he saw two guys were walking down to the ground parking lot with two bicycles. At that moment,he suspect something wasn't right. So he quickly checked the the hallway exit door latch and found the door was unlocked and partially opened.

Apparently something wasn't right here because the hallway exit door never in a partially open position. Then he checked our house door and luckily the deadbolt didn't break.Everything is fine no break in.After that he went back to the parking lot again with the exit door partially opened. He went back into his car-I don't know why he did that at that time-but I don't think he should taking such risk.Anyhow,he laid back down and wait within a few minutes trying to make sure everything is fine.He was right something really happened.

After 10 minutes later he saw the two guys walked back toward the parking lot area, opened the hallway exit door and went in.Hubby was very sure that they aren't our neighbour because we know each other very well.Besides inside the hallway only has four units and it is impossible that a visitor can access the hallway and the parking lot except the tenants. So I think they might break in somewhere from the visitor parking lot exit.Well,to cut the story short, before they tried to break in(we don't know which one they target to break in),hubby quickly got out of the car and yelled at them(our parking space is only ten steps away from the hallway exit door)and asked what they were doing inside our hallway. They were pretty calm at that moment. One of them muffled some answer and explained that they were just looking for friend at the ground floor. This gave hubbyeven more suspicious, making them a liar already. So hubby approached them sternly saying that our hallway doesn't link to ground floor. He told them he is going to call the cops now. Then both of them quickly walked off through the other exit door(link to the emergency door)and left.

At this point hubby decided to call the police and let them know what had happened. He gave them a description of the guys and the cop said they would send someone over to check things out but the cop didn't come.Sometimes I really think that our cop here are racism because whenever my hubby called the cop they don't even care and did they ever solve the problem.

Well, now I’m not able to go to bed, so I decided to share my story with you. I was so scared when I heard all this happened. I can’t help but think, what if my hubby didn't come home at that time that two ignorant guys already breaks into my apartment.Oh man!I'm too scared to sleep tonight.

Mom in law came back from Sabah

And for today's entry,it will be talking about food and flower.Mom-in-law came back from KK,(sabah)Borneo last night.I was very excited because my sister bought me some local food, raw prawn crackers,my favourite chicken flavour Maggie mee and of course not forget the Nescafe.During Chinese New Year or Hari Raya, you will be served with keropok udang or ikan as a treat.Prawn crackers is a traditional snack made from fresh prawn, tapioca flour and other spices. It is well known in Asia.I remember my aunt used to make the raw fish crackers and fry a lot and kept it in a large tin.Everytime she made this the house will filled with fishy aroma and of course very sting too.The prawn crackers has a unique flavor and crispness after you fry them .Nothing much to write as there's nothing much happening in the house yet!Hubby work as usual everyday and night.See!no one talk to me except the kids.He rarely stay at home and sometimes I really miss going back to Sabah.Well,we can't go back at this time because the kids already settled here and it's not easy for them to adapt Malaysia education system.Nevermind I am just rambling here.Miss A already went to school already and Miss B is watching her favourite cartoon and now I am with the computer as usual. After posting this entry I will get back into the kitchen to make lunch for the kids.I read Pearly's blog yesterday and found one interesting recipe. She share the cakoi(Fried Curlers)recipe in her post.In her recipe,it is quite easy to make and she is not using any chow fun or ammonia at all.I feel like making it today and will post it if I can make it.
In this blog I'll put some flower shots because this is the best time to snap the beautiful nature. This is one of my favourite flower. This hyacinth has a single dense spike of fragrant in different shades of colour. You don't have to put any air freshener at home if you put it indoor.Atcually this flower is plant outdoor but I don't know why everytime I plant it outside the garden the flower will die.So I decided to put it indoor and try to get more brightness through the window.Okie dokie that's it for today post.

Blog and paid post

I have been feeling sick for the past few days.I felt like sleeping the whole day and really run down.I try to write a post this morning but until now then I have the time to sit infront of the computer.I don't understand why my kids are always very clingy to me.Whenever I go to the living room and watch TV,they will be around in that area make noise. But if I go upstair use my computer, they will play infront of me and make noise and disturb me all the time.I did play with them and entertain them as much as possible but they seem still want to be with me all the time.

Now it's almost eleven o'clock and I feel so sleepy.Oh ya,I received an email from an advertiser just now saying that my other blog have reviews that must be completed within 3 days from today.I have been stop writing for that blog since two weeks ago.Due to my personal reason to quit that blog, now I try not to force myself into writing about certain topics just to get more readers.I feel comfortable and having fun with this blog right now.I used to be on top of my blog and I know how to write a good review. Now I'm totally lost, unsure how to start writing and the advertiser wants me to write 400 words for the review.Well, actually the offer is quite good but my brain is totally lost.I already turn down two advertisers and if I don't write this time I am afraid they might suspend my account or I won't be able to write for the advertiser in future.I am still thinking whether to go for it or not. This is a very good lesson to me.Next time if you want to quit writing the blog stop bidding at least one month in advance.

Musical show

Today is Pro D day.Yep!luckily there is no school today.I feel like getting sick.I got terrible sore throat since last night.I have the chills this morning and I am sore all over my body.I've had it this year for the 1st time and it sucked.Anyway,I hope tomorrow is better.Oh ya,yesterday was the last day of musical show at Miss A school. It was an excellent show. All the families and friends in our community are very supporting to the charity event. The show was very funny.I got emotionally attached to the show in general because of the winning combination between music and comedy drama that the kids make so expressive.I don't know why everytime Miss A had a show on stage I feel want to cry.I am very proud of Miss A of her braveness on stage. She doesn't scared at all and I am very happy that she gets to perform very well at show.Hope her acting improve every year.Well,I guess I need to rest now.

Tulips

One of the most popular garden plants of late spring is the tulip.I love to plant tulip in my patio. It has brightly-coloured flower. There are many different types of tulips. Some types of tulip have pointed or feathery petals.Tulip needs planted in full sun. When the sun comes out, they open wider and if there isn't any sunshine the flower will close.Isn't that amazing.Tulips are one of the bulbs that everyone would love to buy. These beautiful bright and vivid colours are totally awesome! They're really unlike any other flower. The Nikon Coolpix coolpix 3100 can take the closeup of photography with its Scene modes.Oops!I know the camera is in the market for ages.Let me see...Urmm!I bought this camera in year 2003.Although this camera an old version type of Digital camera but it's still in good condition and can take great shots.I've been able to get some awesome closeup pictures of insects and eyelashes too.The life of the battery is very short but I'm quite pleased with the performance.I would never have been able to take any of these photos with the Sony cybershot.Well,I love to own a Nikon D100 or 200 but I guess I have to wait for another year and hope the price will drop abit.

Digital LCD screen turn blank

I love photography and my camera is always in my bag.I am a bit upset today. This morning my camera really gave me a big surprise. The lcd screen on my Sony digital camera is blank (white).Miss A has a school show later in the evening and I really need the camera.I don't know what is wrong with it.I tried to on and off several times but it still won't help at all.

The LCD screen works when pressing but no image on the screen. After snapping few shots without focusing,I tried to download it in my computer and it seems the camera did captured what I had snapped.I have no choice but to use my old version of Nikon coolpix.Actually I love this Nikon camera a lot. There a problem with this camera is that the battery always goes dead when you need it the most.which did not last very long although I use the excellent battery life bodies. It's only can takes less then 10 shots.Anyhow, what to do-have to use this later and see how many picture I can take.Geee!what a day.

It was such a beautiful day today

We had a lovely, warm and sunny day as I can see it from my window.Isn't it a beautiful day today?Unlike any other day, today is indeed a brand new day.I finally can feel meet the sunshine, wear my tank top and flip flop now.Actually I intend to bring the kids for a walk in the park to play sand and ride their bikes but I was too tired to go.We went to Artknapp this morning and got some pretty flowers blubs to plant outside on our patio.I bought tulips bulbs, daffodils, grenadines and some indoor plants.I let the kids to choose the colours and pick out their favourite flower. The place is filled with beautiful flowers and I almost got stuck in there because of the gorgeous flowers. Then we went home, unloaded our groceries and immediately went out the patio and plant the bulbs. The kids were very excited to help me out with the planting.I can't wait to see the flowers blooming.I really hope we can start barbeques and having cocktails at the patio soon.

Are man a good listener

My hubby is not a good listener. We've been married for 9 years and he had not changed at all. When I need someone to talk to he only say emm or ah and then never gives me feedback. For example, this morning I told him that Belinda already had her milk, and about 10 minutes later he asked her to weather she wants milk or not.Do you think he is listening what I said?

Maybe he is not a great listener,or perhaps he has absent minded as this is what we had an argument everytime he gave me the wrong signal. There was one thing that I tell him not once but maybe more than 10 times what our girls doesn't like or like when we visit store. He will eventually buy those snack that my girls won't eat.He would always bought me the wrong thing or I do not need despite I have been telling him the things that I would like to have and need.I believe very seldom men will listen and remember what we are rambling about.Don't you agree?

Toys all over the house

It seems that my house is always filled with toys in everywhere.I believe that Children should have a place for their belongings. Its call their bedroom.I have no problem if my kids keep their toys in the living room as long as they put all the toys away.I had bought lots of toy boxes for them to keep their toys.I did help my kids clear up the toys everyday and I've taught them hundred times to keep their toys back into where it's belong but their toys are everywhere also.I decorate the den as a play room for them and they just like to get dragged from one room to the other. It does really annoy me when I step on something and it hurts my foot.

The reason why I got so mad about is I fell down in their room last night. At 1pm,my younger daughter was crying like hell all in a sudden so I quickly ran to her room and forgot to on the lights. Then,I accidently stepped on a her toys, slipped, bumped on a small chair and fell down.It hurts my upper left arm, both my legs and upper right side of my chest.I fell down hard and it hurt when I try to raise it to the side and it kinda hurts a little to breathe too.Luckily hubby is kind enough to help me rub it with chinese medicine oil and massage my side bone. When I woke up this morning though both my legs are started hurting like crazy and I noticed they are starting to turn black and blue.My chest still hurts,I'm sure I don't need to go to the hospital but I'm afraid hubby gonna force me to seek chinese traditional massage.Essh! This isn't the first time happen to me this year.I think I am Fan Tai shui.

Can't stand the cold

Spring has started a month ago and I still don't feel the spring season yet.I am hoping for spring for a long time.I mean,it's very cold today. Can you believe snow in spring? It happened 2 weeks ago.Maybe we should blame the global warming or cooling! The weather seems screwed up alot these days.I know that not everyone is as cold-natured as I am, but I can't help but think that a person have to wear a winter clothes everywhere during the spring and summer months.Whenever I go outside no matter what the season is I still have to wear winter Jacket.I already organized all my spring clothes in my closet and yet have a chance to wear it.I can't wait to wear those tank tops and flip flop.

About me

Yay,finally I got another blog.I feel like control the world now LOL!After I quit posting my other blog,I found out that I had lots of time to read others blog.Well ok I am taking it a bit too far but I am please with myself now.I don't have to read more then 30 blogs a day and leave comment on their blog now.And I don't have to stay up late or wake up early in the morning to write paid post.Geee!I no longer had any stress. It's not easy to setup a blog and build up a high ranking but I guess setting up a new secret blog is kinda exciting to me.Now I can write whatever I want and blog anytime and anyday I like.

Fine Lines

I'm noticing I need to pay attention to the fine lines around my eyes these days.I have dry and oily skin and always try to use cream at night before bed but it seems the fine line still appear on my forehead as well.I had used lots of brand name moisturiser and wrinkle cream but none of these works.I have finally found the best fine line cream for my face.According to some Magazines, the best thing for wrinkles is using SPF sunscreen protection to minimize the sun damage on the skin.Few weeks ago,I've bought a set of Elizabeth Grant skincare treatment.I use it everyday and noticed a big difference.I fell in love with this product. My face complexion look healthier, brighter and the fine lines are diminished.I used to like Oil of Olay,Nivea Q10 and ponds products but I think Elizabeth Grant is worth to buy because the products contain Torricelum.

Torricelum is a formulation of vitamins, minerals and moisture enriched with substances.Luckily I don't have skin allergy,if you have skin allergy try not to use.If you have sensitive skin, try not to use Nivea Q10 because my mom used that before had skin reacted badly. The Elizabeth Grant Skin Care Treatment Line which is hypo-allergenic and well tolerated by all skin types including sensitive skins and combination skins.

Tips

Don't put heavy moisturisers around the eye area as it'll make it puffy.
moisturiser.

Moisturiser your skin everyday.

Do not smoke

Drink lots of water and eat get your vitamins A,C and E becasue antioxidant is very important

Take your make-up off every night

Get enough sleep

You don't need the most expensive creams just make sure they are a good quality and with good ingredients

Wear sunglasses if it is sunny

Do some facial exercises and massage with your hand

Moisturise,moisturise and moisturise some more

Stone of Heaven

Asian people believe that wearing jade is the good means of which people will be protected from bad luck, evil spirit and danger. Some Jade ornaments are used to symbolize wealth. But how to know if a jade bangle is real and not fake?My mom bought two Jade Bangles in her friend's Jade store. She told me that her friend gave her special discount on each of this bangle for only RM170 each.I think that's a bit expensive.I sell jewellery before and I know the rough cost of the Jade.I know she wants to buy something for me and my sister for souvenir. My grandma loves to buy Jade.I got a lovely Jade pendant from her as a wedding gift.Real jade can come in a range of colours, from a green that is almost white to a green that is almost black.I am only talking about the basic Jade. It's hardly to compare the Grade of the Jade in bare eyes.My grandma believe that if the colour of the Jade turn darker that means it's real. Since Jade is a stone, it should feel cold even on a warm day.But to be completely sure, take it to a Jewellery or gemologist for a spectrograph analysis. You know we can buy those basic Kwan yin or Dragon Jade Pendant for less than RM30 each from the supplier? It's the most basic Jade the and the carving is gorgeous. One of my friend who is Jewelry wholesale gave me a little tips on buying Jade.He said China supplies small amount of Jade nowsday because they isn't any Jade stone left and most of the great and real Jade are from Burma.
